Dreamscaper

Miniature Fantasy

Posted by Dreamscaper Mar. 11, 2008 @ 1:25 PM EDT

To answer the questions for those who question about this track being exclusively mine, no I am not Aphex Twin, no I am not Orbital, and no this track is not by either of them. It was originally called "Orbital Trance" by Space Planet, that being my old alias until Tunnel Recordings took it upon themselves to use it in their compilation disc Tunnel Trance Vol. 7 without my consent. I now go by Dreamscaper, previously Dreamscape Memories, and the new title of this track is called "Miniature Fantasy" since it was taken from me by Tunnel Recordings.

Here's a couple of links for proof since I get so many people believing this misconception of it being by Orbital, Aphex Twin or any other artist...

Space Planet
Orbital Trance on Tunnel Trance Vol. 7 (24th one down)

Also, here's other links to Orbital and Aphex Twin's discography and every single track they've ever produced up to date...

Orbital's Entire List of Music (good luck finding my track on here)

Richard James (Aphex Twin) Top Tracks (this will be even harder to find through Richard James' music since Aphex Twin has no relation to this track)

Aphex Twin Discography (have fun)

Hope this answers those questions. =)

Pretty amazing picture posted!

Mar. 11, 2008 | 3:22 PM Dreamscaper responds:

T/Y...it's the closest thing I could come up with to match the track.

both orbital and afx wouldnt make a song like miniature fantasy, ambient technos more their stuff.

Mar. 11, 2008 | 3:21 PM Dreamscaper responds:

Damn straight! Thanks for noticing that!

sue tunnel recordings. it's that simple

Mar. 11, 2008 | 3:44 PM Dreamscaper responds:

I've tried...it's not as easy as you think...there was no initial proof of them taking it until after the fact that they had already made money off of it. Even then, I remember agreeing with some record company to use it, but they had deceived me with another record label name...I was young and dumb to all this copyright politics, I just didn't know how massively detrimental this had become for my music "career". It just got pointless and such a headache that I just said the hell with it because I wasn't trying to make any income off of my music at the time, and now it's just water under the bridge. I haven't heard from them in awhile or any production from them. It's all good for now.

You are one of the first artists I listened to on the audio portal, and Miniature fantasy was one of the firsts I downloaded. Ive been meaning to get up to date on your releases, but theres just so many X_X

Mar. 11, 2008 | 9:14 PM Dreamscaper responds:

I know what you mean... =P I have a hard enough time trying to find new sound samples to use with newer pieces. Thanks for the support bro!

Mar. 11, 2008 | 7:59 PM boney-man says:

I thought your name was Byron Crowfoot... but on the Space Planet page it says only Simon Wernli and Slavko Gregoric... so either you're lying about Space Planet, or you've lied to us about your name o_O

Mar. 11, 2008 | 9:12 PM Dreamscaper responds:

Haha, glad you saw that! That's what happens when you change your track due to stolen copyrights. Not only did I change the names, I changed the version to be unedited (longer). Tunnel Recordings only knows me as the "John Doe" name used...Simon Wernil and my buddy James Guthrie (Slavko Gregoric). Neither is a lie...lol...just a mess and set of unfortunes the production this track has caused me.
; )

great picture did you use vectorial or something else?

Mar. 11, 2008 | 9:15 PM Dreamscaper responds:

Haha, sorry man, this is just an image I found on www.digitalart.org. So, I honestly could not tell you.

Mar. 12, 2008 | 6:09 AM ConnerBomb says:

Hey man, you have my full support. Recording companies can be bitches, but they can't beat the original. :)

PS: I see betty has violated your page as well... I hate kids like that man. They make NG look like a garbage pile and makes musicians and musical hopefuls look bad.

Mar. 12, 2008 | 5:04 PM Dreamscaper responds:

Haha, thanks bro! Yeah, it's unfortunate that these freakin record companies are all about the green stuff and not the hard exertion of work put into what makes the money. Not all are bad because I came across a few deals that were very nice, but my schedule and the feasibility for me just wasn't quite there yet because I hope to get actual hardware synth racks and a new mixer for my studio/room sometime in the near future. :-)

Betty sounds like a lost little kid begging for the wrong type of attention. If he's not careful, he might get shot in the mouth the way he uses it when and if he crosses the wrong person. He just needs a few more years, or in his case, quite a bit more to mature and realize that he's gonna meet someone just like him or worse, and it's gonna shock the hell out of him. Thanks again man for all the support!

that picture is so sexy

Mar. 12, 2008 | 5:04 PM Dreamscaper responds:

You should see the creator! ;-)

Mar. 15, 2008 | 3:50 PM Icecry0 says:

Who cares. . . . . it's still an awsome song! I don't need to know the author. . . I just need to listen to the song!

:D

Mar. 18, 2008 | 3:42 AM Dreamscaper responds:

It will always be on here, that's for sure. ;-)

Mar. 16, 2008 | 4:31 AM Icecry0 says:

Wait actully I take that back. The person who made this song *you :)* is as creative and memorable as the song. Thanks for making it :)!

Mar. 18, 2008 | 3:41 AM Dreamscaper responds:

Haha, I guess so if you remembered to go back and say that 12 and a half hours later...lol

Mar. 30, 2008 | 4:19 PM CommonOddity says:

Err. I owe you an apology. I seem to have misunderstood the situation and conjectured foolishly that you were stealing a track. I posted two reviews that (knowing what I know now) have no substance, and a forum posting in regards to this.

Terribly sorry mate. I jumped ahead with head-in-ass on that one.

Apr. 2, 2008 | 1:45 PM Dreamscaper responds:

It's all good man...I actually don't even recall ever seeing a review like that on any of my tracks you left...it must have been removed since NG is getting a little more retentive nowadays on factual information instead of passively overlooking the "minor" details that could, quite honestly, hurt them in the long-run. But no prob CO!

Mar. 30, 2008 | 4:32 PM Nav says:

Well, if you were a minor when you signed the contract for the record deal, then it should be revocable at any time, due to rules about minors and formal contracts. In other words, you should be able to use that to sue, as long as you WERE a minor at the time.

Apr. 2, 2008 | 2:01 PM Dreamscaper responds:

I believe I was actually around 16 years old when I produced this track because it was 1997 when I finished the original "Orbital Trance" track, and it was then later handed over in agreement to Tunnel Records originally named "The Tunnel" at the time, for use on their compilation disks. So, in all reality, I can't really do anything because of how late in the game it is and with an agreement, it's still a written agreement. Thank you so much for reminding/informing me of this rule! In any case, I do know that whatever goes around comes around; so they'll eventually get what's coming to them. Just waiting... >: )
