Awesome job for #1 on the weekly top 5

It sounds like you didn't really need much help on this...I think you have it pretty much out of "trouble". Though this isn't my favorite of yours, it most certainly leaves a good aural memory in my head. It is a tad random, but the notes that do seem to brand into my aural senses definitely stay there. I love it when that happens, especially when it sounds as good as this. ; )

I love using "Shit Talker" too, but I can't seem to figure out how to save any of my samples on it. Maybe you could "help me". lol That choir boy sample sounds awfully familiar. It's the only text-to-speech sample that can have automated singing with it.

My favorite part in this strange but attractive composition was the "bow" sounding synth that grooves its way into the track about 75% through. It's a very different sounding synth. Great use of the arpeggios and rhythm. Congrats Ciao!

Yes, another Dreamscaper review!

I'm really glad you enjoyed the song, I purposely made it a bit dreamlike with the instruments blending into each other a bit so that it could kind of stick in the subconcious level of one's brain... I hope it worked, and if you say so then it looks like it did! I'm actually not familiar with "Shit Talker", hehe unless that's your term of endearment for the speech synthesizer bundled with FL Studio. It made it rather easy to put the voice part together :)

And that "bow" sounding synth is pretty 303ish, it's pretty cool eh? I thought that it fit in perfectly right there. Glad you liked the song and thanks so much for the review & listen!

What a blissful amalgamation of Trance

Oh, my...what do I hear but a smooth integration of idyllic kickin' beats and such beautiful piano chords that merge into a really harmonious synthesis of pure Trance euphoria? You, my friend, have really showed us how it's done with working straight from the boundaries of the imagination. Nice mixture of Hard Trance and Melodic Trance. BRAVO AC!!!

This is so reminiscent of one of my favorite Trance composers "Airbase"...sooo similar it's surprisingly delightful. I remember Milosz (aka Extracy) letting me hear the original you made of this track before you added all the nice touches. It was awesome then making this one even more kick-ass.

Ok, this is just a personal preference, but there is one thing I do disfavor near the end when you flush all the sounds to the right then left. I think it would have sounded better if you picked out certain parts of the track to pan to the sides like the echoing, hollow, choo-choo train, sounding organ-like horn would’ve sounded smoother. Because it gave me the same feeling in my ear canal as if I were reaching a high altitude in a plane and then my ears pop…kinda’ unnatural sounding if you know what I mean. Other than that, you have a diamond track bro’!

You will always have my ears pointing in your direction.

Nice chords bro!

I think this is my first review on your stuff so "hear" it goes...

First off, this is VERY original. It's like an eclectic style of Goa Trance and DnB combined with Ambient undertones. Very entrancing man!

Secondly, those strings near the beginning to middle part sound Egyptian and so appropriate for it being an "Ode to Ra" the goddess of the sun. Very smooth Arabic sound.

Thirdly, the drum beat is completely kickin'. I love those toms.

Lastly, it’s just so fuckin’ cool with those vocal arps.

Awesome job Milosz!

synteza responds:

Haha, sweet, first review is from Byron!

Yeah, I can feel the Goa Trance in this... I was listening to a lot of Infected Mushroom before making this song, so the influence is definitely there.

Heh, I onl noticed the "Arabicness" of the song about halfway through making it. At first, I only felt the Jewish vibes from it. When I noticed the vibes coming from a bit farther to the South-West, I decided to name the song something Egyptian and sunny.

It's not your typical DNB beat, huh? Has some mad speed to it :)

The arps are only there to make the song more awkward! Hahaha, gotta love David Firth, monkeybullman and Boards of Canada.

Thanks a lot for the great review,

CONGRATS ON GETTING DAILY 4TH!!!!

Like I've told you before, I'm not much into Instrumental Punk, but this is one hell-of-a track bro'. That is why I like it so much; it's hard to make a great piece of a genre that someone could care less about but love the track itself so much.

Now, about the track itself...

My fav part of this piece is that kick-ass riff near the middle to end with the harmonizing electric guitar. It just adds more flavor to the piece. Also, the swelling of the heavy guitar playing backwards at the beginning is so friggin' sweet. It kinda' reminds me of Orbital's later stuff like their album "Insides".

Now the only problem I had with this piece was that even though it was a fairly short composition, it seemed to drag on because it's so full of energy and speed that it makes its "rounds" more than once in 30 seconds. In other words it goes back into the main melody before 30 seconds is up. With the rising of the chords and then looping back around to the beginning it gets a little boring. It seems like there should be some vocals or even a chorus to fill in the missing gaps I'm listening for in this particular genre. But, all in all, this track "rocks"...very well organized!

I noticed that you and I are taken off the respected artists section on the NG Mag Audio division. I guess out with the old and in with the new, huh?...DAMNIT makes you wonder what the hell happened! Keep on rockin' man.

BTW...I love your Ambient pieces even more.

Nice to "hear" from you again dude!

This is pretty dark and "danceable"...I like it very much, but I do think that you could have done more with the piano at the end than just one note. Maybe it would sound pretty good starting with a sustained "A" note followed by the short sustaining chords of "c", then "H", then the same long sustain of "A" followed by the same "C" note repeating that rhythm 3 times until you get back to "H" and instead of "A" again it would go to "E" then to "F". Then it would jump all the way to "d" then flowing quickly back down to "A" with "c" then "H". And finally, it would start from the beginning with the same pattern. So in essence it will look like this...

Long sustain on A, c, H, Long sustain on A, c, H, Long sustain on A, c, H, Short sustain on E, Short sustain on F, d, c, H, Long sustain on A. (Hope that wasn't too hard or confusing to follow.)

NEways, I thought that's how the piano harmony should sound instead of it just playing one note through the end. Or, maybe you wanted the piano to work more like part of the percussion.

I kinda' like your voice touch with "Out of the darkness", pretty intuitive but it does sound a little over-dramatic and too breathy. But, I can't really criticize on something I tend to have a hard time with. Vocals are a b**ch. :P

Overall man, you really had my feet moving unintentionally…that should tell you enough…GREAT dark dance/trance track!

Cypher responds:

Good to hear from you again too Dreamscaper. :D I agree on the piano thing, I just didn't have any inspiring melody to add there. I'll try what you've suggested.

With the voice thing...I think the 'breathiness' is accentuated by the fact I put too much reverb on a lot of things!

Thanks for the long and helpful comment. :D Hopefully one of these days we'll catch up again sometime on MSN.

I love smooth pieces, therefore…

I love this one!

Very Nice AC! I think that this is one of my favs of yours man. I LOVE the STRANGE melody in this one. I love the use of the synth blips and the strings playing off on the bass...very smooth and groovin'. Also, the filter was applied at the right moments in each part of this piece. This kinda' reminds me a little of my pieces "Whispers From the Past", "Final Breath", "Last Breath", and "Repercussion". I love everything about this track, it's so soothing and inspiring to make more tracks of my own. ~_~

Congrats on getting numero cuatro on the weekly cinco favorites! Awesome man!! Keep mixin’ those great tunes bud, and maybe we could possibly collab on a piece together sometime. o_<

AdmiralConquistador responds:

Hoooly crap. I can't believe I got a 10 review from Dreamscaper! This is by far my favorite song as well, being that I only have a few songs, and they're not that good hehe. Nice, with the STRANGE LOVE too, hehehe. Comparing my work to yours, telling me that I'm inspiring to you, telling me you would possibly collab on a piece with me sometime... My head exploded. There's nothing I would love more than to work with you. Thanks so much, I'm so happy I made it to the weekly favorite list, it's been a 3 month-long goal of mine :). Thanks for inspiring me to continue to tinker with my music programs, I wouldn't be here if I hadn't heard Miniature Fantasy or Zero Gravity in Dreamscape or any other of your incredible songs.
Thanks so much on your review and for listening!

YAY, I raised it from 3.25 to 3.60!!!

I love this man! You are very talented with Reason, and I always knew you would be from your enthusiasm and great knowledge of how to make an excellent musical piece.

I think your Ambient compositions are my favorite of yours. They're so soothing to my ears. The twinkling combined with the smooth flow of the strings and harmonizing flute/pan pipe make a great Ambient piece. If anything that I have discovered through hearing this, is that compositions like this remind me why I absolutely love instrumentals. It's very reminiscent of an electronic symphonic musician named Billy Christiansen (a.k.a. "Symphonic Chronicles"). You may have heard of him. Great musician as are you!

Btw...I'd love to hear how things are going sometime man. Sorry I haven't been very sociable these past few months; I've been really bogged down with the move, and I really don't like to socialize very much on the comp when I have a very scarce amount of time I get to be on my computer. Hope to hear from you soon. ; )

Cypher responds:

Hey! Yeah I agree it's been too long since we've talked. :( But glad to hear you enjoyed my piece and glad to see you're still making music. Thanks for all the praise, I'm still learning the intracacies of using the mixer and effects to increase my sounds.

I'll learn sooner or later, I'm still not a master such as yourself. ;)

Thanks again Dreamscaper, hope you had a good move and I wish you well until we speak again.

Thanks for pushing the score up, it was quite low. :(

Hostilliasticly-Friggitty-F***king NICE!!!

This is so much fun listening to my friends' remixes of my stuff, especially yours man! Awesome job Z-B!!! I love that synth at the end particularly and the sweet kickin' percus as well; it gives it more of an emotionally drawn feel to it more so than my remix. (chilly-bumps) I kinda’ wanna hear a longer version now. ; )

Your drumbeats really fit well with the flow of the main bass-line. I think my fav part is at the 15 sec mark when the drum fill kicks in. It has a sort of chilled and smooth groove to it that eventually tells your legs to make your body jump up and hit the sound frequencies in the air creating a “hostile” and aggressive dance in mid-air. Also, the sound samples add a nice atmospheric sound complementing the bass-line. Love the echoes!

Well, what more can I say? It’s dark and heavy…just the way I love my D&B served on a cold platter of metallic flavor. Nice work my man, and thank you for your dedication and for staying on NG long enough to submit this awesome track!

Take care Alex!

10/10 ALL THE WAY BABY!!!!!!!!!!

10/10 ALL THE WAY BABY!!!!!!!!!!

Hey 0_BaSs! First off, I want to tell you that this is my fav Dance track of yours. You SHOULD be proud of this. It is so reminiscent of my early Techno childhood nights when I just started listening to, in my opinion, the best music to ever hit any audible listeners ears. So many possibilities and diversity in this type of music with such pure emotional drive behind it accelerating it into a high climatic drive right into the heartstrings of everyone’s aural senses. This dance track in particular is a perfect example of your exemplary talent man. I absolutely love the vocal samples in this…”Do you want me?…Eehaaayhaaaaay…want me…give me love, give me love…I’m your DJ”. VERY hot bro’!

Now, what’s this I hear from all these reviewers about you leaving us? I remember you telling me that Paragon was going to leave if these ass-cracks kept lowering his scores for no reason, but not you. L Man, now I REALLY want to get this elite audio portal thing up and moving so we can end this madness. Ever since that Djinn dweeb started lowering my stuff, all my friends in the audio portal were being attacked the same way. I am so sorry to hear this because I was really just getting to know more about you bro’. Please, if you truly are deciding to leave or take a long vacation away from NG, please, please, PLEASE don’t lose contact my brother. You are one of the few I admire here for their friendly and outgoing attitude. I will miss hearing your kick-ass, adrenaline-pumping, emotional-driving, electro-beats. You’ve really made such an awesome impact on a lot of people’s music here. I know this because I was one of them. I remember hearing “...:War horizon:...” for the first time; the music was so similar to the music in a favorite game I used to play back in the late ‘90s. That composition was what got me started on your music. You’re awesome ZeR-0, don’t leave us, I beseech thee. I will give you all the support I have if you stay man. Please don’t abandon your NG-AP brothers.

Btw…this is still my favorite track of yours.

We got the same passion...cool electronic music! We love it and we feel like Gods when we listen to his beauty :-)

I've got a busy social life so, i can only work on my songs at night....3 weeks of work...bah!
Now i'll mail Wade and I'll talk him 'bout our project...it's the only way to make it real Byron, wade must do something! The AP is collapsing into shit LOL! ;-)

Nice addition E-D!

So, you decided not to call this piece "Third Awakening"? I love the addition of the atmospheric effects, the nice drum roll, organ, chimes, harp/violin plucks, synths, electric guitar, choir/vocal wails, guitar, sitar, xylophone, bell tolls, and cellos. Quite a bit of changes from the original you let me hear the beginning of. You’re really impressive E-D with combining certain notes together and matching the meter with the tempo you start out with and matching the harmony with the melody. Very epic sounding!

Congrats on getting weekly número uno! Did you try and do what I told you about submitting right before the hour deadline to see how the weekly favs are actually decided upon…high scores? Either way, this definitely fits the #1 spot on the top 5ive of the week.

Evil-Dog responds:

Thanks for the review pal!
I'm glad you liked it

but I thought the weekly top5 was decided tomorrow, I finished the piece today I didn't want to wait till tomorow, I'm no crook like you :P

See ya around

Rock is a bore; Hip-Hop is a snore; Country I just ignore; Rap is like audio war; Heavy-Metal makes my ears sore; Disco should've died in '74; Electronic I love to the core. (People are going to hate me for stating this, so I won't state anymore.)
