Very Interesting Ref!

Hah, so you finally got the "Zero-G Jungle Warfare" refill? I love that bass..."Dirty Bass" I think that is what it's called. Nice samples from "The Matrix" as well. What were some of the complications you might've come across so far in Reason? I find myself coming up with so many differing melodies that I want to use them all, but when I try, they never converge together. So, I just use them in other compositions. That's one of my worst weaknesses. That's also why I produce so much music in a single instance.

If you'd like, we can collaborate on a track sometime; that is, if my Internet doesn't stay retarded.

Anyway, nice work you got here. Take care man!

Cypher responds:

No I don't have Zero-G Jungle Warfare yet. :( (I saved Dirty Bass as a patch for Malstrom - thanks to you!)

Yes, you have the exact same problem that I have, making melodies that never converge...I tried it with a piano in this, but I had to get rid of it. The end result is that I wasn't able to get much of a melody.

I would love to collaborate on a track, with your expertise and my n00bishness combined - we could go far! :P

Take care as well, and thanks for the review! Chat to you later. :D

No creativity whatsoever...

All this is is the opening composition for Reason 2.5 with some drum beat you probably didn't create as well. The clarity in this piece isn't even clear either. It makes me wonder if you just recorded the music with a microphone because of all the background hissing.

Come on man, try and at least be creative with the program. It just takes persistance and motivation. I know you can do it.

Dylan-Lunadia responds:

I did create the drum beat and just because I used one Matrix from the demo means its not creative? And I've done more with the program, so make sure to check out the other stuff I'm going to make.

I can see lights of beautiful melodies shining...

This is beautifully blinding to my aural senses. I love it completely!!! Awesomely done my good fellow. You seemlessly merged the melody with all these harmonies of highs and lows as well as made it loop perfectly. Also, great use of filtering the air blips along with the distortion of those same air blips morphing into a sort of atmospheric sound effect. >...bows and applauds...<

Keep staying sober crud. lol

Holy shit dude, i worship you. this is nuts, thanks you very much for your amazing review. and coming from you that kinda freaks me out. i'm really glad you like this song. really. this is incredible

I remember you letting me hear this...

Hey, this is still the same as I remember you letting me hear this sometime around Christmas or sometime around then. This is that 'track' on Mario Kart 64, right? (No pun intended) ; ) I still love the filtered bass in the middle of this track like I told you before. Very hardcore indeed...almost sounds like it doesn't belong in this composition, but you flawlessly incorporated your own unique 'paragoness' style into it. Again, great job man!!!

Let me know how things are going with you sometime. I can understand if school is taking a lot of your time as it did me when I was your age. But it still would be nice to see what's new with you.

Talk at you later.

Congratulations Ref for top 5 being 2nd!

It seems that I have been #5 for some reason for the longest now. I'm really starting to wonder if I'll ever hit the top 3 like I used to. lol

I remember you letting me hear this before you submitted it; you really were worried that it might sound too busy and chaotic. But essentially, I think it's a very melodic and unique piece. Hope everything is going well man, and I look forward to chatting with you some more mate.

Cypher responds:

Hehe, thanks for the good review.

I wasn't so sure about Haunted...but it seems to be going alright. Don't worry Dreamscaper, you are a better musician than I am, I don't know how this is #2.

All your tracks are #1 quality.

I hope I chat to you some more too, I'm getting into Reason a bit more now, learning the basics...:)

Talk to you soon.

Nice one PX9!

I love the fact that you're starting to become more heavy with your D&B. Awesome man! It also sounds like you got a sound effect in there from an 8 bit video game. hehe I almost feel as if I am floating in 0-G with such heaviness. lol

Keep in touch when you would like to work on that piece together. Have you even started working on the bg music for Evil-Dog? I just finished mine a couple of days ago. He said loves it. Have fun with it man!

...and it is good...

I can hear that you have some talent my friend. Nice and pristine sounding...almost trancey. I'm really feeling the emotion in this particular track man. Keep 'em comin'; they can only get better from here.

Extraordinarily Beautiful!!!

Oh my, you have some talent on those ivory keys. Or was it all sampled from some New Age song? Either way, very well put together. It has sort of a Moby flavor to it.

I like your style so far. ;) Can't wait to hear more from you

DevoLver responds:

thanks for the review.
i looped it from a piano solo, but everything else you hear is added on.

as for my style, i'm not sure what i want to stick with. (i.e this or faster paced style) i'll more than likely just do alittle with both.

lol, Moby feel, haven't heard that before. haha!

thanks alot for the review my good man!

Nice and.......well, BEAUTIFUL

This is a very sweet track. The flowing and merging melodies kinda take me away to a BEAUTIFUL waterscape of forgotten wishes and happiness falling with drops of ecstatic warmth. Or, am I just weird? The melody and harmonies that move in and out of this composition are perfect, but there is a lack of percussion. Then again, I don't use percussion all that much in my music. So, that really isn't that big of a deal. This track however, would be just perfect if it had some type of beat or instrumental rhythm. Great job Goldnog!

Beautiful!!!

I love this simple yet joyful and somewhat inspirational track. It has the repetitious sounds of "Aphex Twin's" "Z-Twig". Nice mellow roll you have going in this one! Please keep being the inspiration you've been to NG with your musical talent. <)

DroopyA responds:

I'm glad you enjoyed it. It's just a shame that I lost this file when my computer crashed because I think I could have done a lot more with it. All that remains is the actual mp3 itself. May we have a moment of silence? :D

Rock is a bore; Hip-Hop is a snore; Country I just ignore; Rap is like audio war; Heavy-Metal makes my ears sore; Disco should've died in '74; Electronic I love to the core. (People are going to hate me for stating this, so I won't state anymore.)
